Art At The Source Open Studios
Hey, what a fun and wild weekend-or two weekends. Thanks any and all who may have come by and been part of Lisa and my inaugural - and Patrick's continuing - Art at the Source Open Studios. I still can't put more than a few words together even three days after Sunday-so here's just a very few photos of the studio and garden-(as always, click image to enlarge)
before the show-hey, I look ready don't I?
the crowds arrive....
yikes...
though mine obviously is'nt the only art to attract attention...
Lisa's main wall...
Lisa, are you befuddled or bemused? (Or teed off I used this photo?)
How's this one?
Zeke, we know, loves art (how could he not?)-but there are times when it's pretty tough to compete with a cookie.
(Hey Zeke-it's cool. We have lots more.)
meanwhile, just outside the studio...
looking back towards the studio-Lisa's garden and Patrick's sculptures
Patrick and some of his great creations bask in Lisa's garden, while our piece from last year's Burning Man fest looks on...
(and speaking of-surf on over to the linked Art Farm Motel site for info on this years B.M. project-I should get an update posted there later this week ).
here's a picture of the re-hung main wall on my end of the studio, with from left to right-"Lucky Girl" (sold to Mathew and LuLu for their Willowwood Cafe here in Graton-a great honor!), "A Larger Loser" on top of "Trust", then "Sing-Along", and finally "The Memo". On the ground are my little "Losers" in progress-the Bee on the left being done , then next to it almost done, then the rest just under way...
and here's "The Memo" again with the still not completely completed triptych "Happy/Lucky/Fun".
And where's "Misunderstood"? Sold! To a cool guy and past patron, who also is an artist-a photographer-and in fact when he came over yesterday to pick up his painting, he gave me two great photos-here's one of them...
(thanks alot Graham!)
And now, it's time to stroll on over to the Underwood for my reward mojito-ahhh, now that's a pretty picture!
(for more pictures of the open studios-especially more of Lisa's great work-and also for an article that appeared in the North Bay Bohemian about us and Lisa's garden-check out her "Studio View" link.)
